Wedding Wednesday: Our pre-wedding pics! (V/V)

Yes... alas, this is the last session of our pre-wedding pics! Awwww I loved sharing each of them with you and I'm kinda sad it's over! Well, cheer up, my Wedding Wednesday posts will continue as usual, and you'll get to read about other stuff from our wedding besides our pre-wedding pics which have occupied my blog for 5 weeks!

These were the last pics we took on that frantic 18 of May in which we took pics from 8AM until 11PM. So yes, we were basically exhausted by the time it was time for this last session. We still managed to do our best and keep on smiling, because we truly enjoyed the whole thing and this is once in a lifetime!

I loved how big the train of this dress was. With my crown and this big necklace I basically felt like Sissi the Empress of Austria :D

Wedding Wednesday: Our pre-wedding pics! (IV/V)

This is my favorite out of all the pre-wedding pics sessions we took. I love my baby pink dress and J's blue blazer, the perfect girl&boy combo! I also love the place where these pics were taken, I felt like in a fairy tale during the entire photoshoot! With my pink dress, my flower crown, these huge gardens filled up with beautiful flowers in vibrant colors, and my very own prince charming, no wonder I felt like a Disney princess!

There were also plenty of J's all-time favorite flowers: the sunflowers. It was just an absolutely gorgeous venue. In case you were wondering were this is, it's another area of the big theme park I introduced on our second pre-wedding pics session post.

I guess I need to explain the context of the picture below or you won't have a clue what it means. As some of you already know, J was a top sportsman for several years, he was part of the national Hong Kong athletics team as a 100 Meter sprinter, hence the pic below where he wanted us to pretend the start of the race :)

Oh, J is also gifted at playing the violin, or at least he was when he was a kid, LOL :D Anyway, I think this violin prop suited him quite well.

I hope you liked this pre-wedding pics session. Isn't it totally prince&princess-like? Psst, Psst... Let me tell you a secret!! We chose one of the pics from this session for our wedding invitation cards!!! I'll let you guess which one ;)

Wedding Wednesday: Our pre-wedding pics! (III/V)

This is the most special of all our pre-wedding pics sessions. It is completely J's style. While I love pink and cute, he loves elegant and cool. This whole styling was his idea, and I'm very pleased with the result! Having pics with 5 different dresses, it's nice to have such a different one like this, specially when J loves it that much ^^

I have to admit this might just be my favorite hair and make-up out of all the 5 sessions. It's so elegant and sexy with the red lips, I love it!

This and the beach session were definitely the hottest! There were so many lights in this studio it was terribly hot!!! Plus this dress was really thick... Anyway, I like the final result a lot, some of the pics in black&white are really nice, my favorites are the first and the last one, I think they are full of love mixed with passion and they could very well be in a magazine! :D How do you like this indoor session?

Wedding Wednesday: Our pre-wedding pics! (II/V)

Here is the second round of our pre-wedding pictures! In these ones I'm wearing a wedding dress from the same brand as my "real" wedding dress I'm going to be wearing on my big day. Out of the 5 sessions we took, I took 2 in wedding dresses and 3 in evening dresses. These ones were taken in Interlaken, Switzerland, in the Swiss Alps. Except... this this is the replica of Interlaken in China! You know how amazing Chinese are when it comes to replicating things, fashion, food {did you know fake eggs exist?}, and... cities! Another very crazy replica in China is the UNESCO World Heritage village of Hallstatt, in Austria. The Hallstatt replica is intended to function as a normal city... for people who like the European lifestyle! In our particular case, this Swiss village replica where we took the pictures is inside a theme park {Overseas Chinese Town East 東部華僑城}

This theme park/town complex is huge, it has three different theme parks, three hotels, and some other attractions. China size, you know!

We took pictures all around the town, but my favorites are next to the lake, the view is simply breath taking... It feels exactly as if being in Europe. Pretty amazing!

Wedding Wednesday: Our pre-wedding pics! (I/V)

Finally, finally, here they are! I've been waiting for these pictures ever since we took them back in May, and we finally got the whole lot last weekend! You might have seen some preview on instagram of pictures we took with our iPhone during the photo-shoot, but this is the real thing! The official pictures! I'm all over the moon, I think that's kinda obvious. We got around 300 soft copy pictures, two big albums, two big frames, a DVD with the pictures, and other small gifts. We LOVE everything! Thanks to Milan Bridal in Shenzhen (米蘭新娘) for this amazing job. As I told you before when I shared a story from the day we took our pre-wedding pictures, we took the pics in five different places with five different dresses. That's why I'm going to be splitting these pre-wedding series into five different articles, to be posted on the five Wednesdays to come. 

Today it's all about our photo-shoot at the beach, which was the first one we took. I already mentioned how lucky we were with the weather. This spring / summer has been really bad in Hong Kong and southern China, raining almost every day. It had been raining non-stop on the two days previous to our photo-shoot, too, so I didn't really know what to expect. I kept my optimism high as usual though. And so, on our day, the sun was shining SO bright, I actually got a sunburn on this first photo-shoot at the beach! The photographer had to spend some time removing my red skin with photoshop from the rest of the pictures where my sunburn was already too obvious!

 

It was difficult choosing which pictures to share with you here, since I like them all that much! I hope you enjoyed this small selection and, remember, there's more to come next Wednesday! I'll be showing you the pictures we took in Interlaken, the cozy village in the Swiss Alps... the amazing replica in China, that is! :D
