Married to J for 1 year

Ah, marriage... Some people think it's only a legal document and yet... they are so wrong! It just can't be a coincidence that this has been the best year of my life. I was thinking just about the same 3 months ago, when for I don't really know what reason, I started typing my feelings on marriage on my iPhone notes... I just read it and it made me smile, so I thought I'd share it with you :)

"Marrying J is the best thing I've ever done. Some people think if you're already living together, marriage won't change much, "it's just signing a paper", they say. I do NOT agree.

Before getting married, my relationship with J was a good one, with ups and downs as with most relationships I guess. But after getting married everything changed, for the best. Nowadays there's barely any downs in our relationship, and we're more crazy in love than ever.  Getting married really did change things. I had never felt so loved, secure and taken care of as during this 9 months of marriage. I think the fact that we're expecting a baby also helps in feeling so high, but I still think the whole thing comes from the wedding, and it wouldn't be the same at all if we hadn't gotten married.So these are my ramblings pro-marriage, about the importance of tying the knot {with the right person, of course!}, and living happy ever after."

Wedding Wednesday: Happy first month of marriage!

Perfect timing! Today we're celebrating our first month of marriage, and it happens to be Wednesday, so the occasion calls for a Wedding Wednesday post! 

I just got the soft copy of our wedding album and all our pictures from our official wedding photographer, I'm over excited!!! Expect lots of wedding pics in the weeks to come, because I'm dying to share all of them with you and finally getting to reveal everything about our wedding!

As for our first month of marriage, it's been an absolute bliss. Did I mention my wedding day was the happiest of my life? Well, the month that followed has been the happiest period of my life! Being married is amazing beyond words. I'm enjoying this new stage of my life oh-so-much!

People ask me whether something has changed after our wedding. And the answer is SO MUCH HAS CHANGED! Yes, we have been living together for two years and, yes, we're still living in the same apartment, but things have changed after becoming husband and wife. A wedding is much more than a party, much more than a celebration of love. The vows that we said to each other during the ceremony are deep inside my heart, and somehow that day changed everything in our relationship, for much much better. I feel our relationship is ever more safe, caring and loving. Let this fairy tale never end!
