Cinnebar - Wynn Macau

During the Chinese New Year holidays {a month ago already!}, J and I went to Macau for a little getaway. It was as nice as every time we've been to the city. We won at the casino, had a wonderful Portuguese lunch at Escada and discovered a great outdoor lounge at Wynn, one of the most renowned hotels in Macau.

J and I wanted to chill out for a while in a romantic atmosphere, and we found the perfect place! Cinnebar is located on the ground floor of Wynn hotel, and has both indoor and outdoor seating. I enjoyed the atmosphere very much, overlooking Wynn's pool and gardens in a warm February afternoon. Cinnebar serves nice cocktails at around HK$100.

Modeling for the Hong Kong Jockey Club

Probably most of you don't know about this, because I've never mention it on the blog, but I sometimes model on my spare time. This part time job feels more like a hobby to me, specially since it usually involves modeling in nice locations or events and meeting lots of new people while having a good time. I wanted to show you a couple of pictures that are now online at the Hong Kong Jockey Club's website. For those of you who are not from Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Jockey Club is the institution providing horse racing in town. Shooting for them was a lot of fun! The photoshooting took place at Happy Valley, the racecourse in Hong Kong Island. We first took some pictures at the restaurant located on the 3rd floor, The Gallery, which specializes in Mediterranean cuisine. We were served lots of yummy food and drinks that we enjoyed while taking lifestyle pictures of the venue. We then moved on to the club, Adrenaline, where we learned how to gamble on the big electronic tables and sipped cocktails around the place.

Hong Kong's best bar with a view - Cocky Bar

Cocky bar, located in the 18th floor of shopping mall The ONE in Tsim Sha Tsui, was the venue J chose for our first date more than two years ago (Yes, time flies!). Two years later, and after having visited plenty of bars with a view in Hong Kong, I still believe Cocky bar is the best. I love its comfortable seats, its large terrace and the panoramic views thanks to its L shape.

The first pic was taken with my camera, while I stole the second one from Cocky bar's website, just because a single pic didn't seem to do justice to the beauty of this place!

It's kind of unbelievable how none of the online guides/articles on Hong Kong's bars with the best views, such as Forbes' or CNN's articles, mention Cocky Bar in their lists. It may be because The ONE is a relatively new shopping mall, since it only opened its doors in May 2010. Cocky bar is hands-down my favorite bar with a view, and I love to go every now and then. If you want to drool over Hong Kong's skyline while sipping a drink, this is the place to go.
