Half a year to go for my wedding!

Half a year from today I will be at my own wedding party as Mrs. Lau. It's kind of amazing that my wedding is only 6 months away already. I've been doing the food tasting today and OMG {!!!}, I'm sure everyone's gonna love it! I'll tell you all about it on a Wedding Wednesday post soon.

This may be too much information but the truth is I got my period today. Oh God, I don't want to have my period during my wedding!!! I have a baby to conceive! Just kidding {or not}, but in any case I don't want my period on that day, I think that's not too much to ask for?!

Boca Grande - Barcelona

So here I am back to my hometown enjoying my lovely holidays with family and friends :) I arrived on Thursday afternoon and spend the rest of the day shopping, with a break to indulge myself in Spanish hot chocolate, my favorite! This morning I went to the gym with my mom and we went for an awesome lunch afterwards. My mom told me I was going to love this restaurant, and she was oh-so-right! I was totally taken aback by the splendorous design of Boca Grande, including their awesome washroom, one of the coolest I've ever seen!

Boca Grande is designed by Spanish interior designer Lazaro Rosa-Violan, a genius in his field as I see it. He has designed several restaurants, hotels and stores in Spain. The full list is available on his website, and I'm dying to get to visit all of them.

The cool washroom

Boca Grande is not only about design and ambience, the food is amazing too. A bit expensive, but well worth it on a special occasion like coming back home after 9 months! :D
I had the foie gras (16€) and some Spanish seafood rice (26€). Both were superb! My mom had the 4 tomatoes salad (9€) and oven-cooked hake (25€), both of which I tried and were delicious as well.

Wedding Wednesday: Wedding planning at its height!

I'm on my way to Barcelona {literally, I'm in my stop-over in Doha right now!}, where I'm gonna be for 10 days with a full schedule getting everything ready for the wedding!!! I need to meet with the caterers, the photographers, musicians, floristry, make-up artist, hairstylist and candy bar company. Wow! I'm not even sure how I managed to fit all that into a week! Because the last three days of my trip are completely reserved for my girls, who will be throwing me a BRIDAL SHOWER on Saturday the 13th of April! OMG!!! I'm super excited about everything that's to come these next few days! Soraya, from Madrid, and Jamie, from the Uk, are coming to my place on Friday and are spending two nights here with me! Hello pajama party!!! Then the three of us are off to the airport and back to our normal lives! Which is nothing bad at all, because that means going back to my love, from whom I'll be away for TWELVE nights!!! I hate that he couldn't make it to the wedding planning this week, but he has too much work in Hong Kong:( Oh well, don't worry honey, I'll make sure to take your taste into consideration :D Exciting days ahead!!!

Radi Cafe - Bangkok

J and I are just back from our marvelous pre-wedding trip in Thailand. I'll be telling you all about it soon, but today's post is for Radi Cafe, our last stop in Bangkok before coming back to Hong Kong yesterday. Radi Cafe is a cozy cupcake cafe in Thong Lo, Bangkok, owned by charming Fin, the master baker of all the delicacies served there. I told her we would be visiting, so she was waiting for us when we arrived.

Fin's cupcakes were truly delicious, and so was the coffee, which comes from Fin's parents own coffee plantation in northern Thailand! How cool :) It's a strong Arabica coffee, which they call aRADIca :D

I was so happy to get to see Fin and chit chat with her during our visit, she's probably one of the nicest and prettiest girls in Thailand!

One thing I loved about Bangkok is it's filled up with cafes serving all kinds of sweet treats. And even though cozy cafes abound in Thailand's capital, Radi Cafe is one not to be missed :)

High Tea at Cafe Gray Deluxe - The Upper House

Cafe Gray Deluxe is located at the top of small luxury hotel The Upper House, in Admiralty. The Upper House is a trendy hotel with minimalistic design and stunning views of the harbor.

For a five star luxury hotel, the price of the high tea set is very attractive, but beware, there is no free lunch in this world! This high tea set was one of the most disappointing I have ever had, and I wouldn't dare to recommend it to anyone. Everything was well below average and I couldn't get to finish most of the sweets, no matter how tiny they were. My beloved scones were savaged by a ton of sugar crystals on the top making them inedible. That deep red tea I had is their Cafe Gray tea, worst tea I've ever had >.<
